Management Fatigue: Cause for Concern
The business sector is buckling under the pressure of managing in uncertain times. Employers and managers alike are fatiguing and the result could come as a blow for the Australian economy. According to the latest HR Coach Quarterly Index, there is evidence of recovery in the business sector with confidence and business expectations for growth all consistently increasing from the low in February this year. An increase expectance in the value of sales, profitability and capital expenditure are all trending upwards which is a positive result for the economy.
As the pressure points for business continue to evolve, the HR Coach Research Institute seeks to collate and understand new trends whilst also investigating the impacts of Generation Y on the Australian labour market, international labour trend comparisons, and how industries translate strategy to action.
HR Coach supports a national network of specialists focused on integrating people management into strategic business planning and is continually developing new approaches, products and systems to boost the powerhouse SME sector in Australia.
There is however cause for concern as the burden of managing organisations, staff, cash and expectations through the past year has taken its toll on employers and managers. The Quarterly Index has uncovered a growing trend which has been identified as “management fatigue”. This management fatigue stands to hinder the recovery of some businesses as these individuals set the tone and course of organisations throughout Australia.
